I've tried changing the black rubber stopper in the boot like you said and that didn't work. I've tried even putting grease on the boot hook and lock system as someone suggested that the hook might be banging against the lock when i go over a bump. I've tried everything i can think of.

Have you tried taking the panel inside the bootlid off and tightening the bolts that hold the spoiler on? When I have my gen 1 I had to do this a few times, as it started to rattle after a while.

I haven't tried that. I'll give that a try this weekend and see if that solves it.
