What are the back seats like in your coupe ?

The very top of mine are really hard from where the sun has been on it. Is that ok ? Should i leave it like that or use your soapy water trick ?

Sorry Rosco, the damp cloth wont do that but sounds more like an upholstery product like a leather feed spray or somesuch...just phoned round a couple of suppliers with no luck..one suggested hide cream or saddle soap, the other said is it real leather! You can get something from poundland that cleans and softens but dont know the name...I do know how much it costs...

I got some special leather cleaner with my freebie Supaguard care pack, which I wiped the seat with first (it makes a small amount of watery soapy cleaner), I then used autoglym leather cream afterwards to re-hydrate and protect.

I did this twice a year.

It is slippy when you first clean it, but then its OK after your bum has been on the seats a few times!

I nice product that I have used on all my leather seats (And gunbelts/holsters/rifle slings) is Saddle Soap. Get it from any shop that sells horse tack, pretty cheap, doesnt smell. Polishes, feeds and cleans leather. Its a nice neutral colour as well, so no clumpy bits in the the creases.
The gun belts and slings end up in teh mud and go through all sorts of punishmentm but the saddle soap keeps them looking good and supple as well. A good polish with SS also seems to lessen the instances of scuffing when you catch the seat with keys or something abrasive.
