Hi, Just after Xmas I got some of the Halfords + 90% bulbs and had them fitted whilst I was at it. They did it in the afternoon and it was still sort of light. (these bulbs I think)



A few weeks later I was following my Mrs and she told me one of my lights was dimmer than the other. Any suggestions as to why this would happen??

Here is a quick pic and you can see the driver lamp is projecting the light forward where the passenger one doesn't.



If it is a knackered bulb I'm stuffed as don't have the receipt any longer. I might have to buy these instead

Yep, it happened to me in the gen2 (I was the muppet that did it), I reckon they have not put the bulb holder in correctly and the bulb is not sitting straight causing it not to project properly.

mate, mine have done the exact same thing, bought the same bulbs and its the same headlight thats gone. I put it down to me buying different gen3.5 lights off ebay but im not so sure now. Looking forward to any responses.

Apparently if they have been fitted slightly wrong you may get different beams projecting from the lamp but ive already checked mine was fine.

Thanks!!! I think I'll have to have a go at it over the weekend if the weather holds out. I know he had more trouble fitting that side. He said it was lucky I didn't want the side light bulb changed as it would require the battery coming out. If I can't get this sorted I might use these bulbs as side lights and buy the Ring ones.

If your doing it yourself then take out the headlight, its just 3 bolts and the harness, thats the recomended way and saves skinned knuckles. Theres a how to somewhere on here.
