Hi everyone!

I have a 2003 Hyundai Coupe 1.6 and i bought it with a song xplod head unit which does not come with an AUX which i need to plug my ipod into. I tried to take out the head unit however have had no luck, there are marks on the metal around the stereo showing signs someone has tried to take it out before. I have tried the release keys and have had no luck, halfords said they would need to litually hammer the head unit apart. Has anyone got any better ideas?

Unsure about your gen but on my gen 1 I had to take the centre console out and physically un-screw it from the car. Also I have a sony
In my other car and its a totall sod to get out using the keys you have to get it just right and pull like a good un.

You have to remove the fascia to get at the cages. keys will do nothing as its not held in like that.

push open the ashtray, put your finger in and up, pull with all your might. The whole fascia is held in by clips, you might think you are breaking its very sturdy.

The radio/gauges are held in by 4 screws, then screwed into the cages.
