I'm getting constant creaking from the parcelshelf on my 3.5.

Has anyone else had this problem and how have you sorted it?

Iv had it on cold nights, I think its coming from the rubber to plastic contacts or the rubber to rubber bits on the boot. Im going to try putting two layers of something inbetween to see if that helps. I think it was NT that a saw a guy putting felt on the boots rubber bits to stop the noise

Logic would say that it would be coming from the "hinges". I guess i could try putting something in between.

Ive put strips of paper round mine, no more creaks.

6 months i have had this car, and i have never had this.... read this thread yesterday, and bam, this morning it was creaking so loud... weird, ha. (in saying that, it was very very cold this morning)

PS. Rossco3487 - i would recommend a K&N i've had mine on for about 3 months now and it sounds better every day

I've noticed my bootlid creaks and squeeks a lot since I fit the GT wing, especially on motorways as the bigger pushes the bootlid down a lot more than the OEM one
