Hi,
can anyone tell me how to reset my remote locking fob, I replaced the battery in my mine when I bought it 2 days ago and Hyundai have quoted me almost £150, informing me that they have to remove the dash to get to a switch!!

Is there an easier way???

Have a look here and see if anybody can tell you where it is - here's my 3 platefulls of spaghetti under the dash....looking to find the same thing!

When you get to the receiver, what do you have to do then?

Mine has the same problem I think. The alarm was disconected by a garage and the central locking is not working. I assumed it would be connected to the alarm but maybe not.
I have new batterys fitted to the alarm fob which lights up, but no show or any noises from the car, so having to open and close door on key-not cool with such a nice looking car.
I am quity happy to get dirty even though electrics is not my scene.

Mine is a 2002 gen 3-2.7 auto

Gen 3
Reset the keyfob

* Put your key in the ignition and turn it to ACC
* Close all doors
* Hit the lock key on your key fob
* Take the key out
* Hit the lock key again - This should arm the alarm. Don't do anything dumb to set it off!
* Immediately hit unlock
* If your alarm responds correctly, then hooray for you, ya fixed it!
* Repeat for additional fobs

Will that work on the GEN 1??
