I fancy a new gear knob.... Saw this one which i quite like, but i dont know if it is a little tacky:

What you think?
Either that or the richbrook touring ones?

If not, which do you think

Don't like that. I had a similar one in my 206 and I put it in the coupe for a while and it looked crap. Its too high, makes the gear change feel very 'long'.

Honda Type R ones are quite nice. You can get them in Gun-metal, silver, Carbon Fibre and i think maybe Silver Carbon Fibre.
Not sure if the internal thread on them is the same tho. Something I'll be looking into.

I hated the tall thin one, just took one off of mine and gone back to the one that robbo gave me, sooo much better,

This is the is if you're interested:

That one was lighter than the other gear knob by a long way, because of the lightness it ruined the feel of the gear change, I suggest trying a cheap one before you spend a bit more on a fancier one as it is a different way of changing gear, I didn't like that either

it looks similar to the ones that Matt sells but I don't think it is the same one.

what you need to remeber with these gear sticks is that they come with the plastic cover to go attach the knob to the lever, thus meaning that the gear knob will probably stick on very proud of the stick, on mine it left a lot of the lever on show which was also annoyin. Personally, I didn't want any lever on show so I went back to the old stick, must say I recommend the heavier gear knob opposed to one like the pic I put up.

I have all black interior with a small amount of red, im just not sure if the chrome looks tacky...
Is it quite a tall gear knob? Does it make the gear changes long?

I doesn't really make the gear change any longer as most of the shift goes up into the knob anyway.
But I'm not one for trying to do F40 speed changes anyway. Most people probably wouldn't really notice any difference.
