This morning, turned on the car and the dip headlights flicked on then went out (both of them at the same time).

All other lights work fine.

Bulbs or fuses?

Hopeless with cars, I would guess fuses, but have no idea which fuse to change. Anyone got a good diagram of the fuse box?

What happens if the boxes blow on the fuse box as opposed to the individual fuse things (red etc)

Its a W reg 1.6 SE

Any help gratefully received

Ye id check fuses. There should be a diagram on the lid of the fuse box. Not sure how much detail will be in that gen

should be little symbols representing what ech fuse does. might also be worth checking the relays for them. they would (i believe) be found in the fuse box in the engine bay, again daigrams shold be on the underside of the lid.

Thanks.

My big puzzle is between the fuses (the red things 10 etc), and the black boxed (are these the relays?)

If the relay is blown, how can I tell, and how do I replce (are they standard or hyundai only ones?)

Could both bulbs have blown or is the fuse most likely?

fuses are much more likley to blow than a relay, and much easier to check..

pull out the fuse for the lights look through it to see if it's blown, if so change it, if not, change it anyway (just in case) then if your lights still dont work look into other causes, bulbs then relays, then stalk switch

Always use the corect fuse

Thanks for the help. Fuses all fine.

Tried new bulbs, hey presto.

Both blew at the same time

if there was a power spike (although not enough to blow the fuse) that makes sense, they should both have the same tollerences.
