Hi there - I have just come across this problem, want to flag it up to people and also see if anyone can help me.
I have the dreaded "BCM/Indicator problem" -(all driver side indicators stay on). I searched the forum, web and found a load of useful info and the NEC EP2-3N1ST relay data.
Took the car to an auto electrician today, he looked at the BCM and I have a different relays fitted in the BCM - NEC EP2-3L1T - which he told me is obsolete, oh dear. I am ringing round global NEC distributors to see if they have any stock or recommendations.
Going back through the posts and the photos - the BCM's have either one or the other of the relays fitted (some show different BCM's in the same post). Has anyone else come across this hiccup and been able to find the 3L1T relay?
Next stop is the scrappers - been quoted £650 from the dealer for a new BCM.
I will update this when I have some more information.

Hi,
Many thanks for the information. I called Sharky and we had a good chat.

I have been doing some more digging & it looks like the EP2-3N1ST relay has superceded the EP2-3L1T unit (better switching contacts & now a sealed unit) and has the same fitting.
Here is the information I have found:

NEC relay distributor - Mouser Electronics
http://gb.mouser.com/ProductDetail/NEC/ ... 6bMg%3d%3d

Mouser Catalogue page
http://gb.mouser.com/catalog/640/1731.pdf

EP2-3N1ST Datasheet from NEC
http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datashe ... -B3N3S.pdf

I found this information today from a Hyundai Coupe forum in the US which answers my question - it is a how-to on changing the relay with the new unit
http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showth ... p?t=157028

I cannot find any equivalent relays that fit and two distributor names keep on popping up - Mouser Electronics & Digikey UK.
Mouser are waiting for delivery of the NEC relay, due at the end of this month (Jan 2010). The Digikey equivalent units will not fit.

I have ordered 2 relays from Mouser and hope to get them in a couple of weeks time.

Thanks again for the advice.

Just got confirmation from Mouser that the EP2-3N1ST relay has superceded the EP2-3L1T unit.

Sharky replaced the relay at the weekend and the indicators are working fine.
One thing he found out was that the BCM had to be re-activated after it was re-fitted before the indicators would work.

Big thanks to Sharky for his work.
