hi, new to this site so please bear with me. I have a 2000 se the one with the four headlights, but the inner ones dont work. Have changed the bulbs, checked the right fuses i think (no user manual), but still nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The inner ones are the main beam, I know this will sound like I'm teaching you to suck eggs but have you turned on the main beam (push the light stalk away from you with the lights on )

hi, yes have tried this but to no avail. Is there any test i could put on this, am i looking at the right fuse as i dont have an owners manual? When the main beam is on does it show on the instrument panel as they dont on mine. Many thanks

Yes, there should be a Blue main beam icon appear on the dashboard - same as in other cars.

Have you tried flashing the main beams? Might be an issue with the stalk, or you could have played with the wrong fuse. Surprised a current gen2 owner hasn't been along here to help...

have tried flashing the lights but nothing, would it illuminate on the dash even if a fuse was gone on the headlights? if it is a stalk were talking about, are they easy enough to fit? Is there any site i can download a gen 2 owners handbook? Many thanks

The fuse box is the same as the gen 1 and mjnewton's site has the fuses shown, I'll dig out the link

could it possibly be a relay issue??? does the main beams work off one relay or a pair??? just a thought.

When I've wired in auxillery spot and fog lights (on a couple of cars, but not the Coupe) the mainbeams are on one relay, and the dipped are on another. So it's certainly possible, I 'spose...

1 relay for dipped & 1 for main (E01) in the relay box under the bonnet
