Lately my heater has been playing up. I had it on full heat and fan heat 4 to try and warm up the car (its like minus 800 here!) and i noticed when im stuck in traffic the car blows cold air when idling but when i dial in a few hundred revs the hot air comes back again. any1 know wat this could be??

Sounds like the water pump is worn to me, and providing insufficient flow at idle speed... Thats what I reckon, anyways.

not but thats usually the way of airlocks so it could be something more serious as rik suggested.first check your water level and if its down look for leaks

run it on idle with rad cap off and gently squeeze the bottom rad hose to help it get round (IF if it an airlock)
