As the title says I want to hard wire my iphone so that it charges when i play the ipod through the car. I've currently got the iphone playing through a 3.5mm jack into the from of my stereo (after market one - Clarion). And i have recently bought a stand which fixes into the interior. But What i need is to charge the Iphone. I know I can have a cigarette lighter adapter but it looks horrible, and was wondering if anyone knew how i could hard wire it into the fuse box? or go off the cigarette lighter? or any other reccomendation

hahaha very true. The head unit i was looking at is about £450 for the compatible unit.. If i could do it for about £15 with cables and a bit of good advice - i'd rather do that...!

now then, iv found a topic i can help with i happen to work in the phone industry, and we sell a car kit that does calls, music, and has the iphone charger cable all built in, costs 270 fitted, and keeps you legal for calls, plays all you fave music either via bluetooth or the cable, has a display for choosing music and making calls, and the controls are wireless so you can put it where it suits you, im planning on having this in my coupe, its called a parrot mki9200, hope this helps, least i tried lol
