Any one know where I can get a uk centre console cover (the bit that the gear stick come out through) mines peeling like a mofo. i bought one of ebay but its a right hand drive one! so the orientation is the other way (which has p*ssed me right off ha ha)

or does any one know of a solution that will rid me of the horrid rubber coating!

ive been tempted to but i make a right old mess with paint usually

any trim shop you ask to!

What sort of price do you think it'd be , also "trim shop" im not sure ive come across one before any examples? , sounds like it could look good though

nice an easu, take a couple of days off work and do the following:

1 - drive to halfrauds or your local motor factors.
2 - buy sandpaper, wipes, primer, paint and laquer
3 - drive home
4 - dismantle all console and sand it so you have taken the top finish off
5 - wipe with paint preperation wipes so all the dust disappears
6 - spray a very thin coat of primer on
7 - leave to dry for 20 minutes
repeat 6 and 7 as necessary until is all covered and smooth
8 - spray a very thin layer of paint on
9 - leave to dry for 30 minutes
10 - sand where necessary
repeat 8, 9 and 10 until paint is a full thick covering and is smooth then leave to dry for a couple of hours
11 - laquer in a very thin coat
12 - allow to dry for 30 mins
reapply a couple of times



note: dont choose a bright/shiny paint, try to get a matt paint if possible otherwise you will end up getting blinded by the sunlight, trust me
