Hyundai had lots of problems with the alarm and replaced them under warranty, unfortunately yours is now out of warranty. Unless you can get another siren from somewhere i don't think you will be able to replace it, hyundai will know which alarm you have and which one they replaced them with, ask them and im sure they will give you a quote.

I've got the same car with the same scorpion alarm , on your fob have you got 2 buttons ... if so press to smaller button and hold it in , this is what i call my rape alarm , the siren should sound when pressing this ... just give it a try

Well, i think im gonna refer to my small button as my 'safety alarm' as opposed to 'rape alarm' lol. But ye thats right it sets it off, and the lights flash like they should, but the siren does not sound, its very very very very faint. think im gonna have to call hyundai aint i??

p.s is this it in the far right corner underneath my red cloth??

Yep thats it, its what makes fitting the standard blue hyundai strut bar impossible.

ah right now i understand about the strut. well that makes a faint faint sound, so obviously theres power getting to it, i just need a new siren, i wonder if a cheapo universal one would work?
