Hi all,

OK finally got replacement gearbox fitted along with a new clutch... AND then fixed the dreaded "indicator / bcm relay" problem.


I now have another problem ...I've lost my dashboard lights !
(assuming this has something to do with fixing the "indicator / bcm relay" problem)


I've disconnected and re-connected the bcm board x3 times now (even managed to loose the rear window heater at one point)... have checked the dimmer (appears to be OK).

Have checked fuses... but can't seem to find a blown one (although does anyone actually know which one controls the dash lights?). Haven't checked the actual bulb(s) yet.... but wondered if anyone could advise anything else which I could check?

thanks androo007, already had another bcm board as a "backup" (just in case)...

Sharky already mentioned I would need to have ignition keys and stuff re-programmed if replaced the whole BCM board:



I'm actually begining to think it's not problem with bcm board after all, as everything else is working fine.
(although lack of "illuminaton" is a bit of a problem when trying to check your speed, revs or fuel at night)

... am hoping is just loose wire or connection somewhere. Will probably take dash out and check bulbs and connections etc if have time over weekend.


However, CAN ANYONE tell me which fuse actually controls the dash lights?
(PLEASE!)

On the cover that covers the fusebox it says which does which. And the manual also shows what does what.

I had this problem when i fixed BCM dont worry its a minor fix.....there is a little black fuse looking clip thing on the front of the bcm missing, when u put that in all should be well.

Finally got my dash lights back..

Yeah you were right... although it wasn't missing, it was definately knackered.

Swapped it with the one from spare bcm... "and then there was light!!"
