my new headunit is great (alpine ida-x001) only problem is it is blinding at night! lol
it has a yellow lead labelled "illumination" that supposedly dims the headunit when the lights come on.

question is - how and where does it wire up to? lol
theres a yellow cable on the car's wiring harness but i suspect its not going to be that simple and it looks like an adapter not a stock loom.

i want to seeeeeee! lol

Page 14 might have what you want. According to page 15 the Orange wire is the one you want.

it depends if the standard wiring has the illumination wire in it. if not, connecting it (one way or an other) to the dashlight brightness switch thingy(next tot the headlight aim adjuster on the right hand side of the steering wheel) should sort your issues. i would imagine it would be the negative terminal, but then again i might be completly wrong about the whole lot haha just a thought thou
