Sod's law.....my A/C has packed up

I took it to Huyndai and they said they will charge me just to see what is worng with it. So i said, i will come back later. however, when i was walking around Halfords today, looking to replace an interior light, i saw these...




Now I know my i'm not sure that the gas has leaked out....but any one think these might work if that is the case ?

i used an independant air con repairer whan mine went a few weeks back, cost me £80 which i would rather pay than faff about with it myself!!

Try someone like 'auto-air'

There's little point in just recharging the system as, like you've said, you don't know how it's leaked out so you could be throwing good money down the drain.

As suggested, if you take it to an aircon place they'll be able to pressure test it and, if all else fails, recharge it with refrigerant + dye so then you'll soon see where it's leaking.
