OK I got the Gen 1 leather wheel and matching air bag all wired up to my Gen 2.
As mentioned in the previous thread I set the air bag light off due to not disconnecting the battery when I changed the original plastic steering wheel.
So the original clock spring was used and the wires were soldered together etc.
My mate along the road owns a garage and he has one of these Bosch diagnostic tablet type affairs - this was hooked up to the car and it read the error codes. The first one was something about low battery power I think and the second one was for resistance too low on driver side air bag.
The first code was cleared by the Bosch equipment but the resistance code could not be cleared - my mate thinks it might just be a case of soldering in a to the air bag wiring?
Any ideas guys?
