hi guys.

last weeks I'm having following trouble with my 1996 tiburon (coupe) gen 1.:

The windshield wiper INT - isn't working at most of the time. Sometimes, it's operating with no problems, but after some time it breaks down again without any modification. Actually, it hasn't been working for a week or more now, so it's driving me crazy when it is raining so much in czech republic.

In detail: when I put the switch to the INT position (2nd position), the relay in dashboard clicks but the wipers aren't moving or doing anything. The wipers works only in fast or slow mode without INT (3rd and 4th position of a switch).

Furthermore when I use the window washer, the relay clicks again but nothing happen and I have to wipe the fluid manually.

Finally, the problem is that when I turn the wipers off, they stop in actual position, not in final position (off).

These problems are IMHO connected with the ETACS module, but everytime it is supposed to do something it clicks only (possible the relay). the rear defroster, door ajar - everything other connected with the ETACS is working properly.

So my question is? Is it possible to fix it without replacing whole ETACS module, or else is the problem due to faulty ETACS? How can i check the ETACS function.. I tried to check all fuses but haven't found any mistake. But the most strange thing is that I worked sometimes, but I couldn't find the reason why...

actually now I've got some more time to think about the problem while yesterday at about 10:30pm the INT started to work again without any intervention weird!

So the question is that there must be something in our coupes, that hyundai dissembles..
I mean something like a self-restoring system Respectively there could be something like a random fault generator, don't know

it is not the first time I've had a problem with hyundai, which suddenly disappeared soon after it appeared and then it never came back, so it throws some weird questions
