I've got some of those silver rings to go over the centre dash vents in my Gen2 2.7. I've been trying for hours with a stanley knife, screwdriver and pliers and all I've managed to do is botch the existing ones. I've stopped before I knack the dash or anything else.

Anyone know how to get the vents out? Or how to get the rings off? Cos at the mo, my interior looks a whole lot worse than when I started.

Location: anywhere in europe at any one time......but mostly sandbach

get a hacksaw blade or a dremmel being very careful-very-cut at top of vent and at 12 o clock and at ten past.then get a screwey driver and force the bit out.then it'll pull off.
