I know it sounds silly but have you checked the tyres are inflated to the correct pressure :?:

Could be that the balancing is off on one of the wheels?? Im not an expert on these things though. Im sure someone will post in moment giving some better advice.

Regards

Steve

Sorry to ask but can you describe the noise? does it increase when you turn?

If I can remember there was a similar post on the old forum about tyre noise and this turned out to be a nail embedded in the tyre causing a slow puncture.

Have you checked the tyres for any debris :?:

Just an idea.

it's possible that the fact the tyres are pretty well worn is producing the road noise, tyre noise certainly differs from one type of tyre to another & with Michelin being a quite hard compound they do tend to make a bit more noise than some other brands.

Having said that if the noise has gone from nothing to very noticeable in a very short period of time I'd be more inclined to think you have a problem - tyre wear wouldn't produce a sudden increase in road noise

Mine had noticeable tyre noise when I first got it..still has ..ears have adapted. This car is so much quieter than the oil powered Picasso I use for work and the absence of the hammer orchestra up front leaves me with tyre noise as the main background sound.

Think I agree with Griz but we could be presuming yours is like ours..
