Just failed my MOT on brakes, apparently I needed new discs and pads all round as the "efficiency" was too low (I think it's just because the car has been sat still for weeks and they need waering in again). Kwik Fit then went on to quote me £600+ for a full set of front and rear discs and pads... I was a tad and said "Don't aftermarket performance ones cost nowhere near that much?"
The guy tried not only to convince me that they would be around the same, but tried to pressure me into accepting their quote there and then but I wasn't having any of it.

Within 5 minutes I'd checked and found a full set of drilled and grooved discs with pads (front and rear) for £199.98 delivered, and confirmed they would be delivered before Friday.


The Kwik Fit guy said they wouldn't fit them so I went to National Autocentre who will, and re-do the MOT, but can't gaurentee the discs and pads (that's the manufacturers bag anyway).

They're already ordered now so please nobody say I made a huge mistake lol.

I have the same brakes on my car. They've been on for almost a year now and I haven't had any problems with them.

They're a fine set of brakes for the money.

I bought mine from the same seller too, very quick delivery.

you need to find yourself a local independant garage for this stuff, national and kwikfit will always take your eyes out.

once you start to trust them you will find they are willing to do a lot more with your own parts for a lot less.
