Hey Guys

I brought a new set of shoes the other week http://www.raceandroad.com/acatalog/info_1293.html) to go on my red GEN3 coupe.

I decided to try and fit the wheels last weekend as all the snow had disappeared but had a slight issue, I couldn’t find any wrench or socket which was slim enough to fit into the holes where the nuts go!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Dan

I constantly have this problem, luckily the correct size bit in my airtools kit is the right size or i would have no chance of getting it off.
Probably go check out a motor factors with a wheel and nut to see if they have anything that fits.

I had the same problem with my new alloys.

I got one like this:

This one is for 17/19mm wheel nuts.
You can get the to suit different wheel nuts, depending on what size you need. Just check the one you've got, 19/21mm I think.

The head on it is thin enough to fit through most after-market alloys.

Hope that helps

I have one of those too, it does work on my alloys but it can get stuck and rub against the inside of the nut...hole. I thought about going to my local nut and bolt workshop to slim it down 1-2mm, then im sure it will work fine.
Though it will reduce its strength.

i use a 3/8 drive rather than 1/2 - sockets tend to be a little slimmer, but not as deep
