As above i have tried all sorts. Bashing with hammer. spraying with wd40 and then more bashing with hammer. It just wont budge

You guys got any other ideas. I have left it to soak in some wd40 while i ask here.

Heat is good, if you can take it off, stick it on ya gas stove (if you have a gas one) heat it up then dunk it in cold water (dont touch with your fingers ) this should help crack the rust etc. They are also sort of air dampened... so the air behind the piston will expand when heated and help with the removal. Oh and dont hit it too hard coz you can deform the caliper!

hey, dont know if you got yours shifted yet but one of mine was stuck and no ammound of hammering would move it so i took the carrier off and stuck the slider tip in a bench vice and just gently tapped the carrier back and forth to free it then just twisted and pulled till the pin came free.

was very easy with the leavarage off the carrier. once it was out i just cleaned it off and cleaned out the hole then put some high temp grease in the hole and all over the pin and poped it back in free as new. the tricky bit is popping the seal back on with grease hands.

i did all 4 breaks as the fronts where chattering on bumps so the pins had no suck left lol. all good after a drive and no more hot back wheel

hey guys, sticking rear calipers is certainly a common problem.

maybe next time one of you refurbs your calipers you could take some pics and create a sticky DIY? i certainly would use it
