When I had my Ford Probe a lot of guys on the Probe website were talking of fitting these and some did and found they were dangerous and had to remove them .At the price quoted on e-bay I assume it's these ones as a good set of coil overs would cost a lot more.

Yeh there's a post on here somewhere about how dangerous they are. I don't think insurance company's allow those cheap ones at all.

Anything that cheap, and/or to good to be true is usually something to avoid. They use a stock spring, which is put under alot of stress, it busts your shock and can slip of the mount!

A friend of mine runs a garage/bodyshop and he's had something similar to these on his Golf for almost a year now.

He hasn't had any issuse with them.
