Ok, I've seen a few posts about brakes and stuff, originally I had thought the 2.7 had slightly better ones and thought i could fit them but apparently there the same. So... my question and i need each part answered in detail if possible please lol. Ok, I want bigger brakes, BUT I don't think I want grooved or drilled cos I keep hearing they eat through pads, just bigger discs that (if you've tried them youself anyway) do give a noticable difference (is there another car I can easily just fit there brakes onto perhaps?). Also what pads and callipers? And whats the prices for these or all in? (I'M LOOKING FOR THE CHEAPEST I CAN GET, im not rich lol) and also...a good Q, how much does something like doing you're brakes affect your car insurance premium, go up by a lot? Oh and where do I get these items from?

A big one, but im curious as i think the standard 2.0 should have better brakes lol

yes the brakes are same 2.0 and 2,7
THE CHEAPEST YOU CAN GET are the ones you have on so if money a big issue forget the idea
SFR does big brake kits but expensive.faz and macker bought drilled and grooved off ebay cheap but much better at stopping.even then your talking 200 notes

Yep, i've been trying out quotes, doesn't go up too much actually, which is not bad. And thats fine, £300-400 or so i dont mind i meant like 800-1000's... rich lol I'd buy grooved or drilled if I knew it wasn't gonna eat through pads (surely their is grooved ones that ..don't have too much grooves? and dont munch pads much worse than normal discs? ..you can tell im not a mechanic here.but I have a friend who is..so thats useful lol) So any recommendations welcome. are grooved better? someone told me drilled can crack?

If you can find a supplier that does drilled only disks they will last 95% as long as solid ones.
