Today i was just driving around town with my friend and suddenly felt a kind of rumbling so pulled over. On the passenger front wheel 2 nuts have broken off. Now i have no idea what may have caused this as all my other 3 wheels are fine, tight and secure.

First i thought the wheel nuts were loose and fell of but closer inspection showed that the 2 wheels nuts that where missing are snapped as in the long bit that sticks out where you screw the nut on has snapped.

I have added 2 pictures please have a look and can some tell me what my situation is -
can i drive this safely?
Will i need to get it fixed asap?
What do i need to get fixed?
How much am i looking to fork out?

id call that a major part failure
you need a new hub.its not safe to drive if two did it others can too
did you buy a cheap hub? been through any big potholes?

Just to make sure i dont mess it up i would just hit the punch with a hammer with good force and the snapped stud will just fall out the back?

What i'd suugest and have seen is you weld on another bolt to each broken one and just use tools to undo the top new one welded on and the connected bottom one comes out
