Yeah i was looking at that sticky but i dont see anything about springs + alloys on them or im not understanding it correctly (very likely).

I have a Gen3 SE - 52 plate.

Would it be best going for 17s with the correct fitment and then having the car lowered by 30mm?

Thanks

I am planning on purchasing these alloys. Could anyone comfirm that they would be a fine fit? - http://www.wheel-base.co.uk/proddetail_ ... =17Ace216#

I am looking at some lowering springs to go with them - looking at 30mm drop.

Will this combination have any negative effect on performance/driving?

Oh and what do you think of these wheels?

Thanks

They are pretty nice, somewhat similar to the r35 gtr's ones.
I would go for 18" personally, give the company a ring and they will have the exact info for those wheels to see if they will fit. Usualy the only reason they would not fit is if there are no cutouts on the hub of the wheel for them to fit flush on the coupe's hub.

Thanks for the adive Angelus. Yup i think i might pay that bit more and go for 18s. I've checked and there was no 18s for those alloys. I have seen a couple of other alloys at 18s.

I've ontacted both sides regardign the fitment hopefully i get a reply soon as im hoping to order today (excited!)

What do you peeps think i should go for?

Get your wheels first, and see how they are, you may find you dont want to lower the car anymore when the wheels are fitted, also it will handle differently, so again, you may decide that your happy with the setup and dont need to lower the car. ;)

Same as Lakez - I've run 18"'s on mine, 8" width I believe with 225 rubber, no problems.

The issue is more with the width of the wheel rather than the diameter, I've got some 17" Enkei's in 8.5" and they rub even with the arches rolled. However I've never had any problems with the 18's.

Check the offset and wheel width, they're far more important than the diameter. As long as you've got standard brakes you should be okay, else be very careful because not all wheels will fit, regardless of their size.

O.
