Wiki - A bushing is a type of bearing. It is a cylindrical lining designed to reduce friction and wear inside a hole, or constrict and restrain motion of mechanical parts.

Me - Stock are not polyeurethane (not cost effective). Polys don't need any form of lubrication, are long lasting and give a smoother ride.

And sorry couldn't resist pointing out the obvious lmao.

I looked at poly bushing when I thought I had worn bushes on my engine mounts. I read that they lasted four times longer than normal ones, My bushes have been on the car from new 9 years ago that means that poly bushes would last for another 36 years, now even with my rose tinted spectacles I can't see me owning my coupe when I'm 83, I doubt if I'd be able to get in it then :rollin . I know there are other benifits but they only come into their own at higher speeds (ie tracks) so I decided the extra cost would only give me bragging rights and no 'real' benifits in the type of driveing I do.
