l think weight of the car, engine does matter. You will get a desired drop even if you put springs intended for 2.7 on your 1.6, they will fit but question is how will the car handle?
Now springs for 2.7 are made to bare more weight, due to heavier engine than those for 1.6 which has smaller and lighter engine.
2.7 springs are stiffer and they would behave differently on your car than on the car they were intended for. They wouldn't compress as much as they should.
ln other words your ride would fell stiffer if not also something else.
lf you look at coilover systems for our car you will notice that there are different sets of coilovers for 1.6, 2.0 and 2.7 coupe. l guess they haven't done this for nothing.
Get springs made specificaly for your car or use those for 2.0 if you have a guarante from seller or manufacturer, if they are listed to be used on both models.
This is just IMHO and if l were you l'd get coilovers from german KW which are already height adjustable in basic 1 variant. But that costs a lot more than just springs but you also get better , more agresive looks and better handling and you can lift your car back up for the winter.
lt's up to you on the end, decision on what to do.
Sory for my american english lol
