Thanks for that think it had been stuck down, probably with a spilt can of coke by the looks of it!
Really strugling to get the nut to turn tho, managed only a fraction of a turn on it with a conventional ratchet wrench, is that all i need do, tighten the nut?

Thanks guys! I was quoted 60 squid to do the handbrake but with a quick search on the trusty coupe forum and a couple of twists with the spanner kindly left in the boot the handbrake is sorted and I no longer find my coupe a meter or 2 away from where I parked it

I owe you all a pint
